Who is Sqoo?

Sqoo Media was formed in January 2007 by David Pook.

David is an experienced developer. Following studies in computation at UMIST, David has gained experience in the fields of database management systems, graphic design, computer based training and online systems. For the past six years he has been working with content management systems for medium and large organisations, including government departments, local authorities, NHS and public companies. Sites have varied in complexity ranging from a few dozen static pages to over 100,000 cross-referenced fully content managed pages.

David realised that the type of systems he developed for large organisations could be of greater benefit to smaller organisations, as they rely on the internet for a higher proportion of their presence in the public arena. Many organisations have commissioned sites from design companies who produce static sites that cannot be changed without engaging the design company. This normally incurs an hourly fee and may take several days for the change to go live. These sites are less than ideal as they are normally out of date, provide minimal information and are not under direct control of the organisation.

Sqoo Media was formed to address this issue. Taking experience of online content management, a system has been built that is extremely simple to use. This system avoids many of the pitfalls and complex methods utilised by many of the leading content management systems. Its flexibility and features allow it to be quickly integrated into a wide variety of online applications, from corporate websites to online shops, galleries and intranets.

Sqoo uses a variety of developers and designers with a wide range of different skills, enabling the correct team to be chosen for your site.
